Judes’ porcelain figures mirror those that appear in her paintings. She sees the pieces fitting into her own internal landscape or a theatre setting. An imaginary world emerges.
She is currently experimenting with natural clays found in the coastal undercliffs in different regions on the island. The clays are fired at differing temperatures in the kiln to obtain rich earth colours. Birds remain an important theme.
